Throughout her fourteen years of experience serving as a senior level recruiter for mid- to executive- level professionals, Cathy Taylor has also offered a broad spectrum of counseling services for job seekers.   She has advised and coached literally hundreds of professionals about  resume building, interview strategy, job search techniques, and overall career planning.  For the past few years, the job market has revealed a great need for career counseling/job seeking services. Responding to that demand, Cathy launched Cathy Taylor Career Services, expanding her focus to include broader offerings to all levels of job seekers.
As an independent executive recruiter and career counselor, Cathy Taylor offers clients and candidates unique expertise and professionalism.  Her track record illuminates Cathy's approach as a business partner who serves clients as if she were a member of their teams; and candidates as if they are her colleagues - treating all with respect and dedication so that each can reach and/or exceed search goals.
Serving corporate and not-for-profit client organizations in all industry sectors, Cathy launched CathyTaylorExecutiveSearch, LLC in 2007.  CTES specializes in the placement of mid- to senior-level talent in all areas of communications including: general corporate communications, internal communications, public and media relations, financial communications, investor relations, and marketing/development. 
In the past few years, CTES has also placed dozens of development directors in various nonprofit organizations across Los Angeles.  Cathy also assisted in searches with colleagues:  for a family foundation’s first Executive Director; and for the leader of the Los Angeles Dodgers' ThinkCure project.
Ms. Taylor has an extensive resume that includes tenure from 2000-2007 serving as a Vice President and Executive Recruiter for a national boutique executive recruiting firm.  There she focused on highly specialized senior level placements in the corporate communications, investor relations and brand marketing functions.  Clients served were from organizations of all sizes; both public and private; and, in virtually all industry sectors.  She also led searches for directors for not-for-profit organizations. 
A partial recruiting client list Cathy worked with during that tenure includes: Autodesk, Avery Dennison, California Bankers Association, Cardinal Health, Catholic Healthcare West, Cisco, Dell,  Eaton Corp., Jabil Technologies, Limited Brands, McGrath Power, Phelps Dodge Corp., Raytheon, RealNetworks, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, The Walt Disney Company, Timken Co., USAA, VISA, Waggener Edstrom, and many others.
Prior to her recruiting career, Cathy led marketing for an internal communications consultancy and before that for an outsourcing personnel agency.  Earlier, Cathy managed property managers for a small real estate investment firm and prior to that role, spent the first eleven years of her career in systems sales, first for the Burroughs Corp. and later for Automatic Data Processing.  For both of these companies, Cathy continually exceeded sales and marketing quotas and earned President's Club multiple times.
Cathy earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona.  She resides in Pasadena, CA.  She adores her two adult children and a maltipoo... named Wilson!
